the trip

Came back from the trip, many thoughts, a bit jam now. it wasn't a bad trip after all, at least. Three words to describe it, cool, rush, walk. Maybe it's a bit too complex, from every expect of the trip, that's why i'm still feeling a bit dizzy. Cool weather in Hong Kong and Macau, the temperature was about 10 to 17 degree, but the air condition wasn't so good compare to local. I think we had 2 of biggest news during the trip in the beginning of 2008, unfortunately, it wasn't good. Hong Kong and the global shock market was slumped badly, the headline of the last tuesday newspaper cruelly written 'Hong Kong people lost 1 million EACH'. Every media, the newspaper, TV or radio was all talking about the market news, everybody was talking about it. Then we had another lost of the talented Mister Ledger, sigh. I couldn't bother much about the shock market news, since i had nothing to do with it, but the sudden lost of Ledger was pretty shocking to me, he was such a talented actor. I didn't really love him that much, but there are some works of him were impressive, at least i must say i really liked Ennis Del Mar. It was a legendary role, that movie had made him. Waiting for another more promising performance from him, 'the dark knight' which he stars as the joker, which would probably bring him another fame, we heard the bad news, how gloomy is that.
Hong Kong isn't really a shopping paradise, well, not to me, i bet it only apply to people who has more money than i do. I didn't enjoy much for the shopping experience, not until i found H&M, the Madonna's fashion line, it's located in the central. At first i thought i was just wanted to go in and have a look, who knows the prices there are so attractive! How 'sayang' i only found it on our last day in Hong Kong, if i could find it earlier, i think i would just spend all my money there. Can you imagine how cheap could a beanie hat be? It's HK $4.90, isn't that crazy? Then a trouser for $59.90, and a jacket for $69.90!

For food, i didn't expect much, not saying that the food wasn't nice, it's nice for most of place we went, maybe we weren't lucky enough to find something unforgettable. I bet it's pretty much about Hong Kong.
In Macau, it's even more simple, the historical Ruins of St. Paul is basically all about Macau, oh, and the Casinos. The Casinos in Macau are probably more than the 7-11 stores here, it's everywhere. The ruins of St. Paul is really an attraction. The front façade and the grand stone stairs are so splendid. The structure is the only remains of the formal St. Paul Church, which was the greatest church in East Asia.

The famous Lisboa

Is that all about the trip? I really can hardy recall anymore. Basically, Macau is more like a tourism spot, and Hong Kong is a island size shopping center.

P.S.
As i predicted, how nice would it be if we didn't have that much of quarrel, sigh. I think i trie
d hard enough to manage it, maybe just not good enough.
R.I.P. Mister Ledger (the one next to him was his ex-wife, Michelle Williams)
