sigh, so unfair

After i published my last post, i went checked out my fellow bloggers' site, sigh, i almost past out. Their post are all about their trip to places where are at least half a globe further than where i went, arghhhhh, how can not feeling i'm a bit too small potato, nia sing. What? Like Hong Kong is the place you go for your school holiday?!?! Fuck, the furthest place that i've ever been to is HK! You know what, I think i just hate them, all of them.

the trip

Came back from the trip, many thoughts, a bit jam now. it wasn't a bad trip after all, at least. Three words to describe it, cool, rush, walk. Maybe it's a bit too complex, from every expect of the trip, that's why i'm still feeling a bit dizzy. Cool weather in Hong Kong and Macau, the temperature was about 10 to 17 degree, but the air condition wasn't so good compare to local. I think we had 2 of biggest news during the trip in the beginning of 2008, unfortunately, it wasn't good. Hong Kong and the global shock market was slumped badly, the headline of the last tuesday newspaper cruelly written 'Hong Kong people lost 1 million EACH'. Every media, the newspaper, TV or radio was all talking about the market news, everybody was talking about it. Then we had another lost of the talented Mister Ledger, sigh. I couldn't bother much about the shock market news, since i had nothing to do with it, but the sudden lost of Ledger was pretty shocking to me, he was such a talented actor. I didn't really love him that much, but there are some works of him were impressive, at least i must say i really liked Ennis Del Mar. It was a legendary role, that movie had made him. Waiting for another more promising performance from him, 'the dark knight' which he stars as the joker, which would probably bring him another fame, we heard the bad news, how gloomy is that.
Hong Kong isn't really a shopping paradise, well, not to me, i bet it only apply to people who has more money than i do. I didn't enjoy much for the shopping experience, not until i found H&M, the Madonna's fashion line, it's located in the central. At first i thought i was just wanted to go in and have a look, who knows the prices there are so attractive! How 'sayang' i only found it on our last day in Hong Kong, if i could find it earlier, i think i would just spend all my money there. Can you imagine how cheap could a beanie hat be? It's HK $4.90, isn't that crazy? Then a trouser for $59.90, and a jacket for $69.90!

For food, i didn't expect much, not saying that the food wasn't nice, it's nice for most of place we went, maybe we weren't lucky enough to find something unforgettable. I bet it's pretty much about Hong Kong.
In Macau, it's even more simple, the historical Ruins of St. Paul is basically all about Macau, oh, and the Casinos. The Casinos in Macau are probably more than the 7-11 stores here, it's everywhere. The ruins of St. Paul is really an attraction. The front façade and the grand stone stairs are so splendid. The structure is the only remains of the formal St. Paul Church, which was the greatest church in East Asia.
The magnificent The Ruins of St. Paul

The famous Lisboa

Is that all about the trip? I really can hardy recall anymore. Basically, Macau is more like a tourism spot, and Hong Kong is a island size shopping center.

P.S.
As i predicted, how nice would it be if we didn't have that much of quarrel, sigh. I think i trie
d hard enough to manage it, maybe just not good enough.

Well, honestly i've watched not more than 10 percents of this year contenders, judging by this, i'm so totally not qualified to predict the nominations. golden globes announced

This year Golden Globes ceremony is canceled due to the reason of the writers' strike. Winners were announced under press conference. The results are pretty much expected, and were my favorite to win, especially Blanchett and Day-Lewis. For the full list of winners, log on here to check out. Except for the best picture for drama, it went to Atonement, it was quite a shock. And there is a funny trivia for this year GG, the film which won the most awards had only won 2, included both the best picture winners, Atonement, and Sweeney Todd for the comedy and musical category. Looking at the results and some other precursor awards that were announced, that being said, this year Oscar race is so widely open, it's the most unpredictable in years.
Daniel Day-Lewis won Best Actor for There will be blood.

Keira Knightley in the famous green dress which top the poll of most lusted after film costumes in Atonement.

Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter in Sweeney Todd.

our trip

1 week to go, for once i'm exciting in expecting the trip to come, as i always don't easily get that. The last Bali trip i went, i hadn't even feel the excitement after i checked into the hotel, haha. This is our first trip, to oversea, we went Langkawi before, haha, ironically, we ended broken up, so i think i'm a bit 'kan cheong' for this one. It's everything that i'm nerving now, haven't done enough research for the trip, haven't planned the activities, don't know if i've changed enough money, what cloths to bring, what bag to pack, what shoes to wear, shit, it bugging me. I've been asking friends of what to do, what to eat, where to do in HK & MO for quite some time, still don't feel that i've done enough, sigh. Any recommendation for 'MUST GO', 'MUST DO' & 'MUST EAT'?

happy new year

Happy New Year, well, even if it's nothing really that happy. I had a quite busy holiday, from Christmas to new year. I was freelancing in my ex company during the Christmas week, then i had another freelance job on the new year week. I didn't really have time to post blog, i couldn't even really feel that i entered a brand new year, i wasn't exciting at all. Well, nothing can really get me excited, i'm too cool i have to say, i'm that kinna person who don't easily get heated up. Sigh, i guess that's pathetic.
Today i had lunch in BSC Strudels, i swear to idol that i will never go to that shit no more, i had the worst service in 2008 so far, the fucking bitch was fucking rude, i don't think it was all me, my friend agreed with me too. I had a lagsana, they sent me cold 1, i asked the cibai waitress to re-heat it, she said then i have to wait for another 8 minutes... WTF! then why did she sent it to me in the first place! Chao Hai! When she sent me the second time, the side of the food was all burnt! I ordered spritzer, they sent me espresso, and it was sent to me even after i finished the burnt food! Fuck! Another waiter poured some food on to my friend when he was serving it, of cause, you think he would say sorry? The food was spoiled, they redo it, then it took forever. Ma Chao Hai! After all the dramas, i still haven't exploded yet, not until they checked on our bill, my friend saw they charged me extra for my food, i asked why, the cibai bitch said they'd changed the new price, ha, there goes my limit, i yelled at the bitch nicely, i said i wouldn't paid for the price if it wasn't written on the menu! Fucking stupid bitch. And i stared at her like i wanted to slap her cibai face, fortunately none of my fiends was being supportive to my semi-civilized action, so i felt uneasy to carry on. Sigh, bitch. I could be pretty fierce, i mean fierce but still pretty, don't fucking mess with me.
