predictions for 82nd annual academy awards nominations

Eh, just found out actually i didn't do for the last year, but why? i couldn't remember, i thought it was an annual routine for me?!?! Sigh, so kan cheong now, the nomination is like going to announced any minute from now, i've got to do this real quickly.
Actually i didn't have much feeling for this year race, because most of the movies in the running this year isn't my favorite. Except 'A Single Man' i guess, because of Tom Ford + Colin Firth + Julianne Moore, i really hope all of them could get in.
Ok, i'll only do the top 9, well, the rest is gonna be won by Avatar anyway.

Performance by an actor in a leading role:
Jeff Bridges, “Crazy Heart”

George Clooney, “Up in the Air”
Colin Firth, “A Single Man”
Morgan Freeman, “Invictus”
Jeremy Renner, “The Hurt Locker”

Mmm, everybody is talking about these 5, so these are the 5.

Performance by an actor in a supporting role:
Woody Harrelson, “The Messenger”

Matt Damon, “Invictus”
Christopher Plummer, “The Last Station”
Stanley Tucci, “The Lovely Bones”
Christoph Waltz, “Inglourious Basterds”

A race in flux. Except Waltz, i guess everybody else is a fair game. Many others are predicting Molina from "An Education", i put my bet on Damon & Tucci.

Performance by an actress in a leading role:
Sandra Bullock, “The Blind Side”
Helen Mirren, “The Last Station”

Carey Mulligan, “An Education”
Gabourey Sidibe, “Precious”
Meryl Streep, “Julie & Julia”

All seem lock except Mirren, i hope Blunt can get in but she should've been nominated for "The Devil Wears Prada" not this "The Young Victoria", so Mirren is in.

Performance by an actress in a supporting role:
Vera Farmiga, “Up in the Air”
Anna Kendrick, “Up in the Air”
Mo’Nique, “Precious”
Julianne Moore, “A Single Man”

Diane Kruger, “Inglourious Basterds”

I really really hope Moore could get in, her snub at the SAG hurts her badly, but pls, get her in! i don't care much about the rest.

Best animated feature film:
“Coraline”
“Fantastic Mr. Fox”
“Up”

Achievement in directing:
Kathryn Bigelow, “The Hurt Locker”
James Cameron, “Avatar”
Lee Daniels, “Precious”
Jason Reitman, “Up in the Air”
Quentin Tarantino, “Inglourious Basterds”

Best picture:
“Avatar”
“The Hurt Locker”
“Inglourious Basterds”
“Precious”
“Up in the Air”

For directing & best picture, it's pretty obvious & boring, really expect some surprises in the morning.

Writing, Adapted Screenplay:
“District 9” Neill Blomkamp and Terri Tatchell
“An Education,” Nick Hornby
“Precious,” Geoffrey Fletcher
“A Single Man,” Tom Ford
“Up in the Air,” Jason Reitman and Sheldon Turner

Tom Ford plssss.

Writing, Original Screenplay:
“(500) Days of Summer,” Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber
“The Hurt Locker,” Mark Boal
“Inglourious Basterds,” Quentin Tarantino
“A Serious Man,” Ethan Coen, Joel Coen
“Up,” Pete Docter and Bob Peterson

The nominees will be announced by Anne Hathaway in a while...
